Corporate Leaders’ Meet 2008

Foreign Affairs Adviser Dr. Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury stressed on ‘collective efforts’ to improve the overall Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) situation of the country, while addressing his speech as a chief guest at the ‘Corporate Leaders' Meet’ of the exclusive business exhibition, Corporate Bazaar 2008 on Sunday.

 
 


Corporate Leaders’ Meet ends on high notes


More than 250 invited business heads took part in the session entitled “Business Process Outsourcing - the potentials,” where the other panel members were Mr. Mahfuz Anam, Editor, The Daily Star, Dr. Ed L. Hansen, CEO of Apollo Hospitals, Mr. Niaz Habib, DMD, AB Bank, Mr. Syed Farque Ahmed, Chairman of aamra companies and Mr. Syed Farhad Ahmed, Managing Director, aamra companies.

Participants of the seminar addressed the huge potential of BPO in Bangladesh. They discussed the opportunity to hit the BPO market even with very basic jobs like data entry, call center etc.

Mr. Mahfuz Anam said, “We want Bangladesh to be a recipient of worldwide outsourcing process.” All the other speakers echoed him.

The speakers emphasized more on positioning and branding the country as a potential recipient of BPO market. They focused on imaging the country in a positive manner to create impression. From the government part, the adviser promised for constant cooperation to the private entrepreneurs.
