The Space Apps Challenge is the largest global hack-a-thon for coders, scientists, designers, makers, builders and others in cities around the world, where the participants build and design solutions to real world problems on Earth and in space using free and open source data provided by NASA.
The Space Apps Challenge 2019 – Bangladesh is the 5th iteration of the annual event and was jointly organized by BASIS along with BASIS Student’s Forum & Cloud Camp Bangladesh. Competitions were held across Chattogram, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Barisal, Khulna, Cumilla & Mymensingh and regional champions were invited for the finals in Dhaka. Honorable State Minister of ICT Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP attended the final event held in Dhaka as the chief guest of honor and awarded the winners.
